Dua Lipa has spent the last decade becoming one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. Meanwhile, her little brother Gjin has been quietly putting in his own hours behind a mixing board. Here's everything to know about the youngest Lipa sibling.
Who Is Gjin Lipa?
Gjin Lipa was born December 30, 2005, in London, making him the youngest of three Lipa siblings. His parents are Dukagjin Lipa, a Kosovo-Albanian businessman and former musician, and Anesa Lipa. The family fled Kosovo during the war in the early 1990s and rebuilt their lives in London before Dua's career eventually pulled them back into the spotlight.
Gjin has two older sisters: global pop star Dua Lipa, and Rina Lipa, a dancer and model. Growing up, he watched his oldest sister go from open-mic nights to headlining arenas — and he's spent the years since figuring out his own lane.
He's a DJ and Producer With His Own Credits
Gjin has been quietly building a career behind the boards. He started producing music around 2023 and has real production credits to his name, including a contribution to a track for British hip-hop duo A1 x J1. He's also released his own material, including a track called "Scary," which picked up attention on its own merits.
His sound leans into UK grime, hip-hop, and modern rap production, with artists like AJ Tracey among his influences. He's also stepped out as a working DJ, taking sets at live events rather than staying strictly in the studio.
According to IMDb, he's also picked up sound department credits on projects tied directly to his sister's world, including Dua Lipa: Studio 2054 (2020), An Evening with Dua Lipa (2024), and Weight of Ribbons (2026). He's been embedded in the production side of the family business for years.
Sunny Hill Festival Is a Family Operation, and Gjin Runs Part of It
Sunny Hill Festival, the massive annual music festival in Pristina, Kosovo, was co-founded by Dua and their father, Dukagjin, as a way to bring major international acts to Kosovo and spotlight local talent. It's grown into one of the region's biggest cultural exports.
Gjin helps book artists, manages sets, and performs as a DJ at the festival himself. It's the clearest example of how the Lipa family business runs as a full operation, and Gjin has a real job title in it.
He Shows Up at the Big Moments
Gjin keeps a low profile most of the time, but he turns up for the milestones. He attended the 2022 Grammy Awards with Dua. He was photographed with her at a Nespresso event in Cannes. Most recently, he was seen with her at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain. Fan clips also show Dua filming his DJ sets at Sunny Hill and Rina surprising him at one of Dua's concerts — the sibling bond is very online, and very real.
His Online Presence Has Been Building for Years
Gjin runs his own Instagram account, @gjinlipa, which has built up more than 180,000 followers. It's a low-key mix of lifestyle content, music-related posts, and family moments. His very first post, back in September 2013, was reportedly a photo of dogs made out of banana peels, long before anyone outside his family circle knew his name.
Between producing tracks, DJing sets, and helping run one of Kosovo's biggest festivals, Gjin Lipa is carving out his own lane in music, with the Lipa name opening doors and his own work keeping him in the room.
